From open mics to center stage
Ray Dalton started telling jokes in campus cafeterias in 2016 and never really stopped. His everyday-life storytelling — quick, honest, and kind to the front row — now fills theatres across three countries.
Alongside stand-up, Ray writes for television, acts in sitcoms and festival films, and produces live comedy nights under the Backrow Bandit banner. He still runs a free monthly open mic, because that is where he came from.

2016 — THE FIRST FIVECampus cafeterias
Five shaky minutes about dorm food. The room laughed anyway, and Ray was hooked.

Weekend spots turned into hosting, hosting turned into a first twenty-minute set.
